MAC Sending Six To Hula Bowl |

 Akron Wide Receiver Jabari Arthur The Mid-American Conference will be well-represented at one of the premier collegiate football all-star events when six MAC players suit up for the annual Hula Bowl in Honolulu on Saturday. The Hula Bowl features many of the top senior collegiate football prospects hoping to catch the eye of NFL scouts prior to the NFL draft.
Among the Mid-American Conference players expected to participate in the Hula Bowl are Ohio's all-time career rushing leader, Kalvin McRae, who rushed for 1,434 yards and a league-best 19 touchdowns this past season as Toledo's Jalen Parmele who rushed for 1,511 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2007.
Akron's record-setting wide receiver, Jabari Arthur, who caught 86 passes for 1,171 yards and 10 touchdowns and Toledo punter Brett Kern, the MAC's special teams player of the year will also be making the trip to Hawaii. Kern averaged a league-leading 46.7 yards per punt and was a finalist for the Ray Guy Award given annually to the nation's top collegiate punter.
The players in the trenches from the MAC making the trip will be Buffalo center Jamey Richard and Western Michigan offensive tackle James Blair.
The Hula Bowl will kickoff Saturday, January 12 at 6:00 pm ET and will be televised on Versus.
