Akron senior Miguel Graham has been named Mid-American Conference East Division Defensive Player of the Week following a standout performance in the Zips 28-20 win Saturday over Kent State. Miguel GrahamIn addition to his six tackles (five solos), Graham notched a school-record six pass breakups. Three occured on successive plays and forced Kent State to settle for a field goal as time expired in the first half.

The Rock Hill, S.C. native now leads the MAC and ranks eighth in the NCAA in passes defended (11). He also has a interception.
