Against Akron, Pierce matched a career high with 31 points, including 4-of-5 from beyond the arc and a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line. He also added three assists and tied a career high with four steals. He became the first player in UB's Division I era to score at least 20 points in eight straight games.

Anderson became just the 15th player to score 1,000 points in his Northern Illinois career before the end of his third season, and averaged 17.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game on a 52.2 field goal percentage, leading Northern Illinois to back-to-back home wins over Mid-American Conference West Division foes Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan last week.
The Huskies are off to a 3-0 start in MAC play, matching the best start in school history, and are alone atop the MAC-West standings. Anderson scored 12 points, pulled down six rebounds and dished out four assists in the Huskies' 87-77 win over the Broncos (1/13/2010). He was 4-of-9 from the field, and also added one steal in 37 minutes of action. Against Eastern Michigan (1/16/2010), Anderson poured in 22 points, 18 in the second half, and pulled down seven rebounds with two assists, one block and one steal in 24 minutes.
Anderson was 8-of-11 from the field, and drilled two free throws with 59 seconds remaining to join the 1,000-point club at NIU. He also went 6-for-6 from the charity stripe, helping the Huskies record a season-best 82.8 percent (24-29) effort from the free throw line, including a 20-for-20 mark in the second half. For the week, Anderson was 12-of-23 (.522) from the field, 8-for-10 (.800) from the free throw line, scored 34 points, corralled 13 rebounds and had six assists with two steals and one block in an average of 30.5 minutes per contest.
