MOUNT PLEASANT, MI - Central Michigan head coach Dan Enos announced the addition of 20 student-athletes to the Chippewa football program Wednesday. CMU signed 19 student-athletes to a National Letter of Intent and added one preferred walk-on.
We feel that this is an outstanding class made up of good-character guys with a lot of ability, and we think this has all the makings of being a championship-caliber class, Enos said.
Fourteen members of the recruiting class are from the state of Michigan, while Ohio, Illinois, Missouri and Pennsylvania also are represented in the class. Of the 14 in-state student-athletes, nine were part of either the Detroit Free Press Fab 50 or Detroit News Blue Chip lists; five players were ranked in the top 30 in at least one of those lists.
The Chippewas added 10 players on offense, eight on defense, one specialist and one lineman who could play offense or defense.
