The Mid-American Conference Monday announced its men's basketball Players of the Week.
MAC Men's Basketball East Division Player of the Week
Justin Greene, Kent State, Forward

The only MAC East team to go 2-0 last week, Kent State, was led by Justin Greene, who averaged a team high 17.5 points and 5.5 rebounds. The Golden Flashes began the week with an 80-63 win over Bowling Green as the 6-8 junior forward shot 7-11 from the field and totaled 17 points, three rebounds and three assists. On Saturday, he posted a game-high 18 points in a 69-66 win at Ohio that gave Kent State its first road victory of the season. Green, who was 6-6 at the foul line, also grabbed a game high eight rebounds while adding two assists and two steals. He is the only MAC player to currently rank top five in the league in scoring (5th-16.4 ppg), rebounding (3rd-7.4 rpg) and blocked shots (5th-1.4 bpg).
MAC Men's Basketball West Division Player of the Week
Xavier Silas, Northern Illinois, Guard

Xavier Silas averaged 25.5 points in a pair of victories for NIU over Eastern Michigan and Toledo. Silas opened the week with 31 points, including 6-of-6 from beyond the three-point line, to help the Huskies defeat EMU, 71-69. Silas then scored 20 points, including four more triples, as Northern Illinois beat Toledo, 64-54. For the week Silas shot 58.6 percent (17-of-29) from the floor, including 10-of-15 (66.7 percent) from three.
