MAC tourneys television schedule announced |

CLEVELAND, OH - The FirstEnergy Mid-American Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament will be televised live this week as teams compete for the 2011 Tournament titles and the MAC's automatic invitations to the NCAA Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments. The Tournaments continue Wednesday-Saturday, March 9-12, at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
SportsTime Ohio (STO) will begin broadcasting on Thursday as MAC men's teams will compete in Quarterfinal action. No. 2 seed Western Michigan will face off against the No. 7/10 winner at 12 Noon, while No. 3 Miami takes on No. 3/6 winner at 2:30 p.m. In the night session, No. 1 seed Kent State will take on the No. 8/9 seed winner, while No. 4 Ball State battles the No. 5/12 seed winner in the nightcap.
Comcast Michigan (Channel 900) will also air Thursday's 12 Noon ET men's Quarterfinal game between No. 2 WMU and the 7/10 winner live statewide. Comcast Michigan will also show the 2:30 game live if No. 11 Eastern Michigan advances to the Quarterfinals to take on No. 3 Miami. Comcast Indiana (Channel 81) will broadcast the men's Quarterfinal game between No. 4 Ball State and the No. 5/12 seed winner on Thursday night.
Coverage continues on Friday as STO will broadcast the MAC Men's and Women's Semifinal contests. On the women's side, if No. 3 Central Michigan advances to Friday Comcast Michigan will air the 12 Noon ET Semifinal game live, while if No. 5 Eastern Michigan advances it will also air the 2:30 pm ET game. If the Ball State men advance to Friday, they will also be shown live at 9:30 p.m. on Comcast Indiana.
The Tournament coverage will conclude on Saturday as STO will air the MAC Women's Championship at 1 p.m. The MAC Men's Championship game will be shown live on ESPN2 on Saturday night at 6 p.m.
All games other than the men's championship, along with the women's Semifinals and Championship game, will also air live on ESPN Full Court and ESPN3.com. In addition, games can be found on the Dish Network (Ch. 431/5431 HD) and DirecTV (Ch. 662) in the Buffalo/Western New York area, while fans living in the Cincinnati/Dayton area can tune in to Channel 99 on Time Warner.
Michael Reghi will be joined by MAC Hall of Famer and former Toledo and Philadelphia 76ers standout Steve Mix for the MAC men's basketball SportsTime Ohio package. STO's Mike Cairns will provide the play-by-play for the women's broadcasts and will be joined by Jackie Windon.
Bob Wischusen and Stephen Bardo will provide the play-by-play and commentary for the Men's Championship game on ESPN2.
