Image Bowling Green, OH – Men’s basketball coach Louis Orr has announced that Danny McElroy will not return to the Bowling Green State University program for the 2011-12 season due to a mutual parting of ways.

“We appreciate the contributions Danny provided to the men’s basketball program over the past two years,” Orr said. “We wish him well as he moves forward.”
 
McElroy played two seasons at Bowling Green after his prep career at La Salle High School in Cincinnati. He played in 54 games over two seasons, starting 13 times. In 2010-11, he averaged 5.0 points and 3.3 rebounds per contest.
