MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan head football coach Dan Enos on Wednesday announced the addition of 25 student-athletes to the Chippewas football program.
We are very excited to add this group of young men to our football program, Enos said. It is a versatile group of high-character individuals who will work hard to be successful academically and athletically. I am proud of the efforts of our coaches, who have worked tirelessly to bring this class together.
The class includes 19 student-athletes who hail from the state of Michigan. Thirteen of those individuals appeared in the Detroit Free Press Fab 50, while 11 were part of the Detroit News Blue Chip list.
Broken down by position, the class includes five defensive backs, four offensive linemen, four defensive linemen, three receivers, two quarterbacks, running backs and receiver/defensive backs, and one linebacker, defensive end and kicker.
Fifteen members of the recruiting class boast a grade-point average of at least 3.0, while 22 of the 25 members of the class helped lead their teams to championships and/or playoff appearances during their high school careers.
