Miami debuts internet programming of NLI day |

OXFORD, OH - Reality shows are the staple of network television nowadays. CBS has "Survivors" and NBC gets high ratings from "The Biggest Loser. ABC touts "Extreme Makeover" and "Dancing with the Stars" with its network line-up.
Now Miami University it getting into the reality show scene as it debuts a six-hour football recruiting program on National Signing Day, Wednesday, Feb. 3.
Believed to be the first-ever worldwide webcast of its kind, Miami's website --www.MURedHawks.com will announce the newest RedHawks, as well as provide supplemental information.
As commitments to Miami's 2010 football recruiting class are received, fans who tune in will be the first to know which high school stars will be playing college football for the Red and White.
Miami's 2010 signees for soccer, field hockey, and women's track and field also will be unveiled during the webcast.
RedHawk Recruiting Lives streaming video is free and can be accessed through computers by going to www.MURedHawks.com anytime between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. In addition to recruiting announcements, the program will provide appearances by nearly 50 current student-athletes and other special guests on the websites all-access channel.
Fans also will see student-athletes who have transferred to Miami and will be eligible for the upcoming 2010 season.
Another feature in Miamis signing day activities allows fans to "tweet" their recruiting questions to head hootball coach Michael Haywood and his staff. Haywood will answer fans' queries for a segment at least once every hour. Fans who participate will be eligible to win sideline passes at Miami's spring football game on April 10.
