The rankings don't see a lot of change at the top this week but there are a few changes in the middle and at the bottom. Let's get right to it.
Here is how the MAC stands after thirteen weeks.
1 |
 |
Ball State (11-0, 7-0 MAC) Last week: 1.
The Cardinals faced a tough challenge in Central Michigan and withstood it. Ball State is one win away from the MAC title game. |
2 |
 |
Central Michigan (8-3, 6-1 MAC) Last week: 2. Somebody had to lose that epic tilt last week, and it was the Chippewas. A close loss keeps them in this spot. |
3 |
 |
Western Michigan (9-2, 6-1 MAC) Last week: 3.
Can you believe a 9-2 team is probably going to be searching for a bowl game? That's Western Michigan right now. |
4 |
 |
Buffalo (7-4, 5-2 MAC) Last week: 4.
Seriously, this has been a very exciting season for Buffalo. An overtime win at Bowling Green just put an exclamation point on it. |
5 |
 |
Northern Illinois (6-5, 5-3 MAC) Last week: 6.
The Huskies needed a win at Kent State and they got it in dominating fashion. |
6 |
 |
Bowling Green (5-6, 3-4 MAC) Last week: 7.
They blew it against Buffalo, but the Falcons still have a shot to become bowl-eligible. |
7 |
 |
Akron (5-6, 3-4 MAC) Last week: 5.
Zips fans are still scratching their head as to how they lost to Ohio |
8 |
 |
Temple (4-7, 3-4 MAC) Last week: 9.
The win against Eastern Michigan wasn't easy, but it's something positive for the Owls. |
9 |
 |
Ohio (3-8, 2-5 MAC) Last week: 13.
The Bobcats make the biggest jump with a big win against Akron. |
10 |
 |
Toledo (3-8, 2-5 MAC) Last week: 11.
Toledo racked up 42 points against Miami (Ohio) in a game it can be proud of. |
11 |
 |
Kent State (3-8, 2-5 MAC) Last week: 8.
Kent State was outplayed in every facet of the game against Northern Illinois. |
12 |
 |
Eastern Michigan (2-9, 1-6 MAC) Last week: 12.
The search begins for a new coach. |
13 |
 |
Miami (2-9, 1-6 MAC) Last week: 13.
What happened to the team that was supposed to contend in the East? |
