Image MOUNT PLEASANT, MI. - Central Michigan head football coach Dan Enos announced the addition of 27 student-athletes to the Chippewas football program  Wednesday. Five different states are represented in the recruiting class, with 16 recruits hailing from Michigan, four from Florida, three from Illinois and two each from California and Wisconsin.

Twelve of the newcomers are projected to play offense, 11 are on defense and three could play offense or defense. CMU also added a punter.

Two members of the class are enrolled at CMU for the Spring 2011 semester: quarterback Alex Niznak and running back Austin White.

We believe that we have addressed areas of need within our program with talented, high-character individuals, Enos said. Were excited to welcome each of these young men into our football program.

At Bakersfield College: Spent the 2010 season at Bakersfield College as a punter and kickoff specialist punted 50 times, with 16 downed inside the 20 and 14 fair caught helped lead team to 8-3 overall record and a berth in the playoffs graduated cum laude with a 3.66 grade-point average Deans List student.

At Cardinal Gibbons High School: Ranked No. 44 on the Sun Sentinels top 50 in Broward County All-Broward County first team selection selected to play in Miami Dolphins Dade vs. Broward All-Star Game led team to back-to-back state playoff appearances in 2009 and 2010 rushed for 824 yards and nine touchdowns in 2010 just the seventh player in school history to rush for 200 yards in a game credited with 43 tackles and two interceptions in 2010 finished career with 151 tackles and seven interceptions earned two varsity letters each in football, basketball and track.
