MAC Report Online was formally launched in March 2004 for the exclusive purpose of providing coverage of Mid-American Conference football and men's basketball.

In the preseason, MAC Report Online publishes a Preseason All-MAC team and in the postseason presents annual awards for Coach of the Year, Offensive MVP, Special Teams MVP, Defensive MVP and Freshman of the Year.

During football season, MAC Report Online's staff of writers provide game day coverage and extensive, twice-weekly conference reports highlighting news from around the Mid-American Conference.

MAC Report Online's staff also covers the three MAC bowl games each year: Motor City Bowl (Detroit), International Bowl (Toronto) and GMAC Bowl (Mobile, AL).
